Bobby's, 2 St. Georges Mews, Silver Street, Whitby, North Yorkshire, Yo213bX

Description of the holiday cottage

Bobby’s is a one bedroom holiday cottage in Whitby, North Yorkshire, sleeping up to two guests. Set close to the centre of town, it is a practical choice for couples looking for a self catering stay within easy reach of Whitby’s beach, harbour, shops, pubs and historic attractions.

The cottage has a reverse level layout, with the double bedroom and shower room on the ground floor and the main living space upstairs. The first floor open plan area includes the kitchen, dining space and sitting area, giving guests one comfortable place to cook, eat and relax after days out around Whitby or the North Yorkshire coast.

Useful features include WiFi, TV, central heating with HIVE control, oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, bed linen and towels. Outside, there is access to a shared rear garden with furniture, giving guests a small outdoor space to sit out when the weather is nice.

The location is one of the main reasons to consider Bobby’s. The pub is approximately 0.1 miles away, the beach is approximately 0.2 miles away and the shop is approximately 0.3 miles away, making it easy to enjoy Whitby without relying on the car every day. Guests can visit Whitby Abbey, the 199 Steps, Whitby Harbour, the Whalebone Arch, Pannett Park, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the town’s cafés, restaurants and fish and chip shops.

Bobby’s is also well placed for exploring the wider Yorkshire coast. Sandsend, Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes, Runswick Bay, the Cleveland Way and the North York Moors are all useful places to know about during a stay. The cottage can also be booked with a neighbouring property, subject to availability, if guests need accommodation for a slightly larger party.

Bobby’s does not accept pets, children or smoking. Parking is roadside, so guests should check the latest parking arrangements before travelling, especially during busy Whitby periods. Before booking, it is also worth checking the latest prices, availability, access details, review scores and booking terms through the cottage provider, as these can change throughout the year.

Cottage Review:

This property has many positives. It is close to central Whitby,it is clean and tidy. The kitchen is well equipped. The shower is lovely if a little small. Now the negatives. The bed is terrible and i found it impossible to sleep in it.The map that is supplied doesn't show the streets with permit parking and also doesn't actually show where you are.The few parking areas were all in use.We had to use the car park on silver street which cost us 27 for 3 days. The heating was hard to decipher and the 'heated towel rail' was never on.I won't be returning to this holiday let.
