Where do I start, the dangerous steps with slabs not actually attached, the slippery slope to get in and out, the dog poo left all over the garden, the Cleanliness of the place?

The uncomfortable beds, the sofa that should have been replaced years ago with no padding, or the slippery wooden steps up into the garden that a previous renter had fallen on.

How can you expect to stay at a cottage that hasn't been cleaned in months? Cobwebs, dirty floors, a fingernail in the top of the dining room table.

Good luck getting a refund from the owner or sykes. This property is in dire need of a clean and update.

Not at all as advertised

Beautifully designed building with quality appliances, kitchen and bathrooms.

HOWEVER, attention to furnishings, mattresses, bedding and kitchen goods needed urgently.

Examples:Cottage sleeps 4, only 4 coffee mugs provided, at least 8 required. No oven mitt/ glove.1 baking sheet only. No ice cube trays. Tired crockery.

Placemats need to be discarded and replaced urgently. Dining chairs have ripped vinyl seats. Lounge sofas are uncomfortable and less than the standard that the cottage desrves.

Owners correspondence present in drawers, security risk!

Heating system/schedule is random at best with no instructions for guests.

No wifi or internet connection to television, only direct aerial fuctionning.

Mattresses NEED to be replaced urgently! Bedding needs replacing.

Cleaning is sub-standard ..

do not look at floors beside bathroom vanities.

All of these points are noted as a wake up call to the owner and caretaker.

It is such a shame that a property built in 2017, in a lovely Cotswolds setting, has been so poorly maintained. It certainly illustrates lack of care and attention for guests. IT IS ALL IN THE DETAILS.

Nice country location. Easy parking. High end appliances in the kitchen but no instructions on how to use them except installation manuals. Who wants to wade through those during a holiday? The beds are horrible. One mattress is as hard as sleeping on the floor, and lying on the other mattress one can feel the springs. The caretaker came by with extra duvets which helped only a little. We considered moving to a hotel. Visitors should also be aware of the bees that seem to want to nest in the masonry outside the sitting room. They will come in the house if the doors are open. If someone is allergic to bee stings it could be a problem. It is probably no surprise that Sykes Agency have not contacted me for a review. They probably remember my phone call of complaint.
