Description of the cottage holiday

Biallid House sleeps up to 15 in seven bright and tastefully decorated bedrooms. The large pet friendly house is the ideal retreat in the Scottish Highlands for families or groups of friends. In the local area, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained no matter what their age or ability, including walking, cycling, climbing and sailing. You can also visit the site where the BBC show Monarch of the Glen was filmed or follow the trail of the whisky distilleries. Downstairs at the house there is a choice of two living rooms for guests to enjoy, the first is a large Drawing Room with open fire and TV, whilst the second is a relaxed Morning Room with wonderful views. There is also a gorgeous dining area featuring a lovely antique wood table, seating up to 12, a very well-equipped kitchen, a handy utility room and a fun games room. The seven bedrooms at Biallid are spread over two floors and include a useful downstairs double with en-suite bathroom, a gorgeous Mater Bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom, two pretty twin bedrooms, a large triple bedroom and two standard double bedrooms. There are also three family bathrooms to share, two of these have a bath with overhead shower, whilst the other has a lovely bath. Two additional cloakrooms can be found on the ground floor. To the front of Biallid is a wonderful garden with breath taking views. Perfect for children or dogs, the garden is lovely and flat and runs alongside the driveway. There is also a gate leading to the local river which guests have the right to fish. During the summer tables and chairs for the garden are available.

The Location - Biallid is set in Britain's largest National Park, ideal for both relaxing and outdoor activities, including horse riding, walking and cycling. The village of Newtonmore is also within walking distance of the house.

The House - Biallid is a wonderful historic Scottish Highland house, which has been in the Macpherson family for many years. It has a lovely mix of period charm and modern day elegance, making it a lovely place to enjoy a holiday with friends or family.
