Cottage Review:

As soon as we entered Bewerley Hall Cottage we felt at home, the lamps were lit & the CD was playing. As we arrived late we did not meet Sarah but there were helpful notes to make sure we got the best out of the cottage. The kitchen is so well stocked with every utensil you need to make lovely meals with produce bought from nearby Pately Bridge, what a fantastic little town that is. As the evenings were cold we didn't eat out but stayed in and cosied up in front of the very efficient woodburner in the evenings (ample logs & kindling) listening to CD's & reading

Breakfast was a treat in the dining room again with radio & CD player. The bathroom was large & warm & the bedroom very well appointed with a very comfortable bed.Everywhere spotless & comfortable.

Luna, our dog appreciated the treats & full water bowl, & we appreciated the wine, cake, coffee, tea & milk.We visited many interesting places & had super walks both locally & further afield, although you don't have to go far to get a diversity of things to do.We found the locals very smiley & chatty.

The cottage was all we had hoped for & more!

We look forward to a return visit.

The cottage is beautiful and in a great location. We took advantage of the many walks around Bewerley and Nidderdale that were on offer. Sarah makes you feel very welcome when you arrive and gives great tips of places to eat, visit and walk during your stay. She advises about the many places which also welcome dogs. This was great and Toby certainly loved the freedom and attention he got when we went to the local pubs. Fishpond Wood was a particular highlight as Toby certainly enjoyed himself getting very muddy in the pond and 'mud bath'. This is a fantastic little cottage where you can unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We certainly enjoyed it and Toby was in heaven. We will be back soon :) [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

Lovely spot overlooking the village green which has mature cherry trees-and a red telephone box, remember them?

Super walks in every direction from Pateley Bridge. You can park the car and leave it for a week and explore on foot or local buses. We went to Harrogate by bus and it was on of the highlights of the holiday as the friendly, but gritty locals entertained us all the way. We loved the local fruit wine shop (has anyone read The Irresistible Inheritance of Wilberforce....)and Kendall's butchers.

All the other reviews cover the many positive aspects of Bewerley Cottage, so we can only echo more of the same - a fine place to stay. Very convenient location for immediate area & for exploring further afield. Very comfortable big bed & bedroom. Lovely big & sparkling bathroom with a variety of quality toiletries of one kind or another. Exceptionally well-equipped kitchen. Owner Sarah friendly, helpful & accessible if needed. Nice extra touches such as a welcome pack including a bottle of wine, olive oil & a generous helping of homemade drizzle cake. Nice front patio for sitting & relaxing. We had friends visit us for a day, and they were bowled over by the cottage, & what an excellent town Pateley Bridge is. I wouldn't be surprised if they booked the cottage sometime in the future.

We've stayed at Ashknott Cottage twice before and this was our first visit to Bewerley Hall Cottages. We were not disappointed! Sarah's welcome was warm and knowledgeable and easily adapted to our own needs. The cottage itself is really very comfortable with everything you could wish for, but with the emphasis firmly on comfort and luxury. Bewerley itself is a super location and only a brief walk across Pateley Bridge to Pateley Bridge with many excellent local shops and food/beverage establishments. Our dogs were very comfortable and enjoyed the break as much as we did!

The best word to describe Bewerley Hall cottage is - perfect!!! We have had several short breaks there and certainly plan to have a few more. The cottage is spotless and has everything you need - a real home from home. Sarah adds some great personal touches, which make the stay even better. There are some great walks from the cottage and fantastic amenities nearby. We have loved our stays in Nidderdale so much we are planning a move - the only downside to this is we wouldn't have an excuse to stay at Bewerley!!!

Everything you could possibly want in a romantic 'get away from it all' cottage. Good accommodation from the dining conservatory with views to the opposite side of valley to the cosy lounge with log burning stove (with ample supply of logs). The four poster bed is oh so welcoming with White Company bedding and the bathroom is roomy and warm ! Sarah and Tim have thought of all the equipment you may need from kitchenware to excellent library of CDs and DVDs. Also the toiletries (Sedburgh which I have not encountered before) are very special and are generously placed in kitchen and downstairs loo as well as bathroom.

Our dog was happily catered for with a choice of sleeping quarters in kitchen or conservatory and plenty of walks to choose from starting from the front door.

Sarah (and Riley)not only welcome you at the cottage to make sure you feel at home but a generous 'welcome pack' underlines the genuine effort to make sure your stay at the cottage is the best experience possible.

We have also stayed at Ashknott Cottage and feel that Sarah and Tim really set the standard with their 'Yorkshire Boltholes experience'that we wish all self catering properties should aim for. Where to start?! Bewerley Cottage is everything you would imagine if somebody told you to think of a romantic getaway country cottage. The second we walked in we felt at home! The fire was lit, the wine was in the fridge and the homemade lemon drizzle cake was just sat there, waiting to be devoured! Every room was as enchanting as the next, and each with it's own character and style - with the pièce de résistance being the stunning bedroom with 4 poster bed - if you cannot find the inner romantic in you here, give up! Pately Bridge itself is a typically quaint and enchanting village, with everything you could need including various pubs, restaurants and takeaways - as well as all the local amenities you need for a self catered holiday! The cottage has a beautifully warm and cosy feel to it, you can’t help but slip off in to your own little world for the time you stay – we promise you won't want to leave, we certainly didn’t!

Well just had our second stay at Bewerley Hall Cottage and it was absolutely fantastic. We only live down the road in Harrogate but it is such a treat to spend a few days relaxing at the cottage. Our dogs Ruby & Poppy enjoy the lovely walks and coming back to the log burner. The cottage wants for nothing and is the perfect bolthole.

What a wonderful cottage. Cosy, but with plenty of space. Well maintained and equipped. We only had a short stay, but found nothing lacking in that time. Interior decor very well done creating a relaxing atmosphere. Peaceful location, but by no means isolated. Within easy reach of excellent amenities. Cottage owners and locals very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The only down point is the awkwardness of the allocated parking space, which brings a whole new challenge to parking!

We found the cottage ideal for a weekend away. Very comfortable living room, everything cosy and well appointed. It's great being only five minutes away from the small town of Pateley Bridge. The two butchers shops are amazing- fantastic pies and the best ever bacon. Sarah (owner) was very friendly and welcoming, going out of her way to make our visit go well.

We were looking for a superior cottage that was pet friendly that would be available for a short break in The Yorkshire Dales. A tall order? But that's exactly what we found at Bewerley Hall Cottage.

The whole booking procedure was straightforward, friendly and personal. We had a warm welcome even though we had arrived early! Sarah was happy to help unload the car and make a cuppa! She spent time telling us about local walks, things we needed to know in the cottage and generally made us feel relaxed and welcome from the start. She had left treats for us in the fridge including some dog treats for Baxter!

We had a cosy, comfortable few days and wanted for nothing. The cottage was the perfect place to return to after long walks in the Dales. Pately Bridge has some lovely shops that will keep you going back for more! Lastly, but certainly not least, the local people were all very friendly and welcoming. We can't recommend Bewerley Hall Cottage enough.
