Description of the holiday cottage
Barn Cottage is a traditional terraced cottage that is stone built and is in the quiet hamlet of Ireby, approximately 4 miles from Ingleton in the Lake District. The owners are helpful and friendly, on hand to offer advice and information on the area. This is a pretty house, cosy and comfortable with a wood burner ion the lounge, ideal after a day walking around the lakes or exploring the coastline. There are 3 bedrooms at Barn Cottage in Ireby, two of these are doubles and the third is an adults bunk bedroom so the cottage is great for couples to share or for a family of six people. Set in a quiet and rural location, the local scenery is fantastic, plenty of walks with a nearby stream for the kids to enjoy.

| Cottage Review:
Easily accessed off the A65 and only a few miles from Kirkby Lonsdale and Ingleton. Wonderful walking right from the door up on to the fells. Cottage was warm and well equipped (if you self cater like we do - and had the best potato masher I've come across in any cottage - a pet hate of mine is poor mashers). It is very dog friendly. There is a washing machine and tumble drier in the garage, which you can also use for bike storage. You get a warm welcome on arrival...and some jam (nice touch) |

We stayed at this cottage for New Year and had a fantastic stay. The cottage was well equipped so we could cook our own meals to eat in and the location was beautiful. The log burner was a welcomed extra especially after our walks to warm us through and the owner was very helpful in accommodating our booking at short notice Excellent stay and highly recommended |
