Cottage Review: I do find the general cottage now needs sprucing up and decorating. I have been to this cottage around 5 times over 6 years or so and it appears not to have been decorated. For instance the shower curtain is mouldy as is the bathroom generally. The walls and genereal exterior is scruffy and scuffed and could do with a lick of paint . The duvet covers did not do up and we needed an extra duvet a it was cold and there are none spare. On one occasion there was a flood to the bathroom ceiling, it was fixed mmediately but the owners do not apologise for this. There was no welcoming package ie a cake and some flowers which used to be such lovely gesture. On the whole I find these owners the least helpful and friendly of the past owners.

Cottage Review: Guy and Ellie made us most welcome (adults/children and dogs!). The location is second to none, the scenery and wildlife outstanding. A perfect base for visiting Dartmoor and its surrounding attractions.

Cottage Review: The cottage was situated in a delightful setting, and facilities were excellent, which included a BarBQ and sun trap patio. The rare breeds gave the holiday another dimension. Dogs welcome.

Cottage Review: The location and the area are of outstanding beauty and anyone who has not visited west Devon and Cornwall should do so and enjoy this amazing area of the UK. You will not be disappointed.

Cottage Review: The cottage was cosy and well-equipped and the owners friendly and helpful. Being on a working rare breeds farm was a special bonus for our youngest child. This part of west Devon is very beautiful and there are good facilities at nearby Tavistock and Okehampton. The local pubs we went to for meals were good value for money and we all felt that we would like to go back to the cottage and area again. Thank you!

Cottage Review: We had a great time at Chagford, helped by fantasic weather for March. House was good, owner more than helpful and his grounds are great for exersising the dog. Food in Chagford either good value or above average in quality, depending on where you go.

Cottage Review: Having a large car the entry and exit from the parking area was difficult due to the location and speed of cars aproaching down hill and round a bend.

Cottage Review: We had a wonderful holiday. We were made very welcome and comfortable by the owners next door. The location is absolutely fabulous for us. We have a lively dog and were able to walk him in Mr Swetman's fields and on the moor. We were made very welcome at the Globe in the village. We were pleased to be offered such a range of fish away from the coast. This is the fifth time we have booked with Helpful Holidays and have always been completely satisfied with the service and the information about the property. We always recommend you to our friends.
