Aislaby Hall, 1 Main Road, Aislaby, North Yorkshire, YO21 1SW

Description of the self catering property

Aislaby Hall is a five bedroom holiday cottage in Aislaby near Whitby, North Yorkshire, sleeping up to ten guests. Set in the Esk Valley countryside and within easy reach of the coast, it is a spacious choice for larger families, groups of friends or multi generation holidays looking for a self catering stay close to Whitby, Sandsend and the North York Moors.

The house has five bedrooms, including two king size bedrooms with zip and link beds that can be arranged as twins on request, one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, including en suite bathrooms to the king size bedrooms, plus a family bathroom and cloakroom. This layout gives larger groups useful flexibility, although guests should check the latest bedroom setup before booking if the exact sleeping arrangement is important.

The ground floor has several living areas, including a sitting room with open fire, a dining room with open fire, a kitchen diner, utility, conservatory and snug or games room. This gives guests plenty of space to spread out, eat together and relax after days out around Whitby or the surrounding countryside. Practical features include WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, cot, highchair, central heating and two open fires.

The outside space is one of the main features of Aislaby Hall. Guests have a private raised area as well as access to shared lawned grounds, which are also used by the neighbouring Garden Apartment. There is also a pond, so children should be supervised outside. Two well behaved dogs are welcome, although guests should check the latest pet rules, garden arrangements and any charges before booking.

The location is another strong reason to consider Aislaby Hall. The village has The Forge Inn close by, while Whitby is approximately 3 miles away for harbour walks, beaches, fish and chips, independent shops, Whitby Abbey, the 199 Steps and boat trips. Sandsend is approximately 5 miles away, and guests can also visit Sleights, Grosmont, Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes, Runswick Bay and the North York Moors.

Aislaby Hall can also be booked with the neighbouring Garden Apartment to sleep up to 14 guests, subject to availability. Stag and hen parties are not accepted. Before booking, it is worth checking the latest prices, availability, dog rules, shared garden details, pond safety notes, parking arrangements, security bond information, review scores and booking terms through the cottage provider, as these can change throughout the year.

Help Future Guests Understand Aislaby Hall

A review of Aislaby Hall can be especially helpful because large houses often depend on practical details that are difficult to judge from photos alone. If you have stayed here, share what you thought of the bedroom layout, bathroom space, kitchen, dining room, sitting rooms, games room, garden, views, parking, dog friendly details and how well the house worked for a larger group. It is also useful to mention the walk to the village pub, trips into Whitby, access to Sandsend or the North York Moors, and anything future guests should know before booking a family or group stay.

Cottage Review:

This is an amazing house to stay in with friends and family. Lot of amenities and plenty of room inside and out. The kitchen is well equipped for catering. Lots of space in the garden for dogs to run around as well as children and very safe. The playroom was a nice touch for pool and darts and all of us enjoyed the week. Although a large house it was very cosy wiht the heating on. We will definitely return one day. Thank you for a great stay.
