| Cottage Review:
Where do I start "It is the dirtiest and place I have ever stayed in." The mis match of wooden floorboards were all exposed and cracked in a lot of places. In every room there were nails and carpet tacks sticking up all over the floors. They had tried to hide this painting everywhere grey. The place was very dirty I had to clean the bath before we could take a shower. The kitchen was so dirty I had to do the same and we could not cook anything all it totally put us off. It was cleaner when we left as I had no choice to try to improve the standard. Not what I want to be doing on holiday. The ceiling is all stained and the paint is peeling off in places. there was no iron. the outside furniture was so dirty we could not sit outside. The freezer was dirty we could not use that either my list is endless. Aleast 4 dead flies on 1 window ledge We actually left the property early as our lovely planned holiday was not what we expected. I was very disappointed. I suggest the place needs an inspection as soon as possible. We will not be booking with Sykes again if this is the standard of property. We are paid a lot of money for a nice break and what we got was not as was advertised. I did contact sky cottages who contacted the owner who replied they would send someone to clean it and in future it would be done twice a week but surely if it was up to standard that would not have been necessary |
