How can I add my property to MyCottageHoliday?
Login or register as an owner and click the "Add a Property" button in your Admin section.

I've added my property but I can't see it listed. Why?
All new properties are reviewed by our editors. We'll review it as fast as we can and then make it live.

Can I list more than one property?
Yes you can. You may add up to three properties. If you need to add more, click the "Add More Cottages" link in your Owner Admin area and we'll increase the limit.

I own/manage more than one property. Can I have more than one cottage in my account?
By default we only allow three cottages per owner account. But we know that some people manage more than one property. If you want to add more than three properties get in touch with us or login and use the "Add More Cottages" button to request an increase in the number of cottages that can be associated with your account. We'll take a look and amend your account. Sometimes we will get in touch to get more information from you. Please make sure that there is a working email address and phone number associated with your account.

My property has reviews and I want to reply, but I don't have an account. What do I do?
Please register with MyCottageHoliday and enter your property details. See "My property is already listed. How can I amend or update the details?" below. Once we have associated you with the property, you will be able to reply to reviews.

Will I be able to add more than one property image?
At the moment we allow owners to add one image. There will be an option to add more details - we'll let all registered owners know when the option is live.

Will my contact details be visible on the property page?
If you enter a telephone number that will be shown on the property details. If you enter a website address users will be able to click through to your website. If you enter an email address users will be able to contact you via a form on the site. I use an agent, can I enter their web address or contact details for my property?
Yes you can. When you enter details about your property you can include any web address or contact details you like. For example you might include a link to your cottage on the agent's website.

My property is already listed. How can I amend or update the details?
Your cottage may already be listed because Reviewers are able to add properties. Here's what to do:
  • - Login (or register and login) to your Owner account
  • - Just add your property in the normal manner. Fill in all the boxes as completely as you can.
  • - If the name AND town match a cottage already listed on MyCottageHoliday we will ask you to confirm that you are the person responsible for managing the property.
  • - We will carry out some checks to confirm that you are indeed responsible for the property.
  • - When your property details are approved they will replace those already on our system. Any reviews will remain visible to users.

How do I add a link to the review page from my own website?
Login and use the "Link to your property's review page" button on your Admin page to get some code.

How can I reply to a review?
Log in and you will see an "Owner Reply" button at the end of each review. Just click this button post a reply. Our editors will approve it and then the reply will go live.

What happens if a user makes an enquiry from MyCottageHoliday?
Users click on the 'email' button on the property listing and complete a simple form. When they press 'send' we send the message to the email address you supplied when you registered. If you want to reply to the enquiry just 'reply' to the email in the normal manner and your reply will be sent directly to the enquirer.

Can I add a review?
Yes, you may wish to add reviews from the visitors' book, letters or emails you have received from guests in the past. These may be helpful for potential visitors until you start to generate impartial views from MyCottageHoliday.co.uk. Find out more about owner added reviews.

What can I do if a review is factually incorrect?
Let us know. Please use the form on our Complaints Procedure page.

Why is my email address not shown?
Users can contact you by email but they send their message via our form. This allows them to contact you but ensures you will get no spam by publicising your email address on MyCottageHoliday.co.uk

How can I get more reviews?
I can be hard to ask guests for a review - it can feel like you are pestering them. Read tips from other owners in our guide on "How To Get More Reviews"
