I'm reluctant to recommend this cottage because I want it always free for me! It really is special. The location is amazing, about 1/4 mile from the Cathedral and High St, yet right up against open farmland. On a good day, you can see the Glastonbury Tor (About 5 miles away). Mrs. Glass is welcoming and charming but not at all intrusive. Free inside gate parking (very important in this little city!). I do recommend it highly, though I hope there's still availability when I want to return! It's all very nice, but the location is the best of any self-catering cottage I've ever stayed in-- very close to town, and just as close to real countryside.

The cottage was home from home, it was everything that we needed. It was clean, cosy and private. The owners, Chris and Sue were very friendly and exceptional hosts. There were lots of places to visit in the area for adults and children. But it was lovely to come back to the farm where it was peaceful, you could relax in the hot tub, help to feed the bottle fed lambs and wander down to see the chickens. It was a very enjoyable holiday, we were sad to leave and will definitely return.

We can't rate this cottage highly enough. The best place we have stayed it ticked every box. Beautiful surroundings, spacious inside and out, excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. Recommended for dogs with the enclosed garden and orchard area for run and play. Superb.

We recently took our boys (6 and 8) to stay at Jill Barker's Middlewick Holiday cottages. We stayed in the cosy *Springfield* cottage, which felt like home the minute we got there. Clean, warm, welcoming. The trampoline, and indoor pool were super-popular, as were all of the toys, games and books in the library...The views were STUNNING, and Jill even took us on an (incredibly) early sun-rise walk up to the Tor (just behind the cottages, amazing! - we all needed a nice afternoon nap...:) The boys loved playing with the resident Labradoodle Maggie. (and were enchanted by the 'world's smallest tourist information centre' - in an old red phone box!) We breakfasted outside in the sunshine (Jill provided a fab breakfastbox for us), the gardens are lovely....And we plan to go back with friends later in the year (we can't wait to try out the Shepherd's cottage) - fab all round! oh, and the home-made cakes from the local camping-site... yum!
