| Cottage Review:
We recently stayed in The Sheep Shack, a 2 bedroom cottage below Park Farm Barn. The description by Sykes waxed very lyrical about the cottage but the reality we encountered was very different: entrance via a narrow gap in a wall, not the bucolic farm depicted in the pictures - more of a building site, poor lighting, stained bedding, mouldy smelling storage, no live TV, dangerous and impractical cooking facilities with a tiny oven 5 feet off the floor that presents a serious safety risk, chipped crockery, tatty pots and pans, wobbly dining table, pub claimed to be 0.1 miles away had closed down ? when I brought these concerns to the attention of Skyes they passed them onto the owners who decided to ignore my feedback, and Skyes were not in the least interested in either persuading the owners to rectify some of these issues or amend the property description to something closer to reality. I invited Skyes to contact me to discuss this further but they again showed no interest. I will not be using Skyes again therefore. |
