Cottage Review:

I'm reluctant to recommend this cottage because I want it always free for me! It really is special. The location is amazing, about 1/4 mile from the Cathedral and High St, yet right up against open farmland. On a good day, you can see the Glastonbury Tor (About 5 miles away).

Mrs. Glass is welcoming and charming but not at all intrusive. Free inside gate parking (very important in this little city!). I do recommend it highly, though I hope there's still availability when I want to return!

It's all very nice, but the location is the best of any self-catering cottage I've ever stayed in-- very close to town, and just as close to real countryside.

Make up of party:  A married couple, just on holiday. American.

Cottage Review:

We needed to stay in Somerset for a wedding and have always liked Wells. A tiny, friendly city which is a great base for exploring Wookey, Cheddar, Glastonbury and the rest of Somerset. We booked Wrinkle Mead quite late and were delighted. It's compact accommodation - almost with the feel of a large barge - but suited us well. Cosy but with doors opening onto the fields. Very well equipped which allowed us to eat well (not always the case with self catering cottages). Even though this is on the edge of the City, Wells is so small that you are just a short stroll from the market, Somerfield and the Cathedral. I would recommend this cottage and Wells very highly if you want a quiet break.

Make up of party:  Two adults, two teenagers. Only two rooms (one twin one double) the kids shared.
