Description of the holiday cottage

Woodside Cottage is located in a quiet spot at the foot of a wooded combe named Hawkcombe, above the charming coastal village of Porlock, Somerset. It is an ideal location from which to explore Exmoor National Park, yet also within comfortable walking distance of village amenities. This recently refurbished, semi-detached property offers a modern yet homely feel and superb walking and nature-exploring opportunities; indeed the cottage access road turns into a bridleway leading all the way up to Hawkcombe Head, high on the moors above, providing a strikingly scenic challenge for keen walkers.

• 2 first floor bedrooms (one double and one twin with hand basin)

• Modern and characterful ground floor kitchen well equipped with oak units and Belfast sink, electric fan oven and hob, microwave, slimline dishwasher, fridge, electric kettle, toaster, and selection of cookware, utensils, crockery, cutlery, and glasses 

• Ground floor 'snug' sitting room with wood-burner plus sofa-bed if required, as well as second sitting room with TV and further doors into courtyard garden 

• Ground floor dining room with dining table and doors opening onto the patio/garden area

• Ground floor bathroom with bath/hand-held shower attachment, toilet, and hand basin

• Wi-fi, heating, and electricity included in cost, plus one basket of logs and kindling

• Bed linen and towels provided. (Please bring own beach towels for day trips)

• Up to two dogs welcome (supplement of £15 per dog)

• Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am
