The directions to the cottage were excellent and the owner was very helpful when I phoned her about gaining access. We found the accommodation to be very comfortable. We loved being on a working farm and having the hens arrive at the gate for bread. The cottage is about seven miles from Carlisle which is well worth a visit. Penrith is ten miles away and also worth a visit. The northern lakes are also a short distance away. The only draw back we found with the cottage was the lack of a washing machine and the size of the fridge. These could easily be rectifi |

| Cottage Review:
We were welcomed to our cottage by the owner and a plate of freshly baked scones. One of the first things we saw was a woodpecker!!! We loved the location including the sculpture trail and the woodland and the fact that it felt to be miles from anywhere. Very comfortable bedrooms and well-appointed bathrooms. Living area very practical for dogs. Cooking and dining facilities good. Would have liked more mugs and glassware to be available. We will visit again and next time try out the lovely spa. |
