| Cottage Review:
We have recently returned from a week here. Location is great but that's as good as it gets. The downstairs area of the house has not been maintained. Badly stained sofa and chairs, stained tablecloth, chipped plates, stained cups, dirty light fittings, fridge didn't work and spoilt the food we had brought with us. Complained about dirty outside chairs to the housekeeper but she showed no interest in getting them cleaned up for us as the weather was lovely. I could go on but won't bore you. Please note that the house is not child friendly or for anyone elderly. The garden is very difficult to reach with large unsafe rock style steps. No outdoor table that we could see. We had to drag the kitchen chairs out to the side of the house so if you fancy an evening drink or alfresco dining best of luck as there is nothing to accommodate this. We are Scottish and have stayed in quite a few places now and this is by far the worst place for comfort and a home from home feel. The owner needs to come and look at the property. People are paying good money to stay here but the standard does not reflect the cost. If you are thinking of booking I suggest you look elsewhere. |
