| Cottage Review:
Location of cottage quite remote, 4 limes from Dumfries, only walks are down country lanes, where you can pick blackberries. House in need of a lot of TLC, could be much better , we have stayed in far superior Sykes cottages. Shower head adjustment was broken, and base was in a poor state, kitchen units were covered in what looked like sticky back plastic that was bubbling due to heat. All in all ok, except for the bed pillows, had to buy new ones as they were so hard. Garden was unkept and had been allowed to run wild, lawn was 6 inches high,how hard would it be to mow the grass every so often? Location for visiting the general area is poor, a property nearer to Castle Douglas would be a better choice for visiting the main towns and villages in Dumfries and Galloway |

Lovely cottage, extremely well stocked, and only 10mins from Dumfries The garden is a haven for wildlife, particularly birds. A very relaxing, peaceful holiday. |

The cottage was situated approx 4 miles away from Dumfries with views to die for! Forget the TV we sat in the conservatory admiring the view all week. It was warm and homely and had everything we needed |
