Cottage Review:

We have just had a relaxing week at this beautiful remote cottage. Furnished in keeping with it's age with everything you would need, all towels, toilet rolls, soaps..... and wine and delicious homemade cake, left by the lovely owner.

There is no wifi or mobile phone signal - so very peaceful - but there is a landline.

Highly recommend this cottage.

Cottage Review:

This was just an ideal cottage for us. It is situated well up the Duddon Valley, which is quite unspoilt, and like stepping back in time to the Lake District as it was 50 years ago; glorious countryside and walks from the door. The cottage is beautifully appointed, warm, and quiet : it is reached by a short tarmacked drive off the lane, and looks out to the hills over a field that when we were there was full of Herdwick lambs. There is nothing else nearby apart from a couple of barns, so it feels very secluded. Down the road, only 5 or 10 minutes walk, is th

Cottage Review:

Location is everything if you like rural setting middle of know where and no phone reception or wifi for miles come to undercragg. Plus amazing walks from the cottage, huge garden, detached property ,very dog friendly.

If you tall, please be aware low ceilings and beams upstairs and down at 5'5 i am short and cracked my head on the beam at the top of landing, but the house is 400 years old after all.

On both visits a lovely homemade victoria sponge cake greeted us as well as a bottle of wine, shame it was Rose last time.

This property is 400 years old so

Cottage Review:

This is a lovely cottage ideal for those who want away from it all. Its a really homely cottage with lots of finishing touches, very clean and well equipped, comfortable beds but watch your head as it has very low beams and ceilings. Owner very friendly and gave good instructions, location very much in the mountains so no mobile signal. The road leading up to the cottage is reasonably good with passing places. There are walks from the door and the owner has supplied maps and books that tell you about the area which we found very helpful in planning the day
