Description of the self catering property
Top Bank Cottage and its adjoining partner, Middle Bank Cottage, are both set in the grounds of Crosthwaite House. The little village of Crosthwaite lies west from Lake Windermere in the Lyth Valley. A sun drenched plain, flanked by low rolling fell and woodland, it is a green and yellow ochre patchwork of meadows and orchards, criss crossed with narrow winding lanes that pass through farm land, by woodland and over rivers and becks, perfect for walks and cycling. A stones throw from the cottage is the much vaunted Punch Bowl Inn, renowned for its cuisine and a most pleasing place to dineSleeps: 2
