| Cottage Review:
Stayed in this accommodation for several years now and will keep returning. Always get a very warm and friendly welcolme. The owners could not be more helpful for any queries you have regarding the area. The atmosphere when you walk through the door is very calming and relaxing. It is nicely furnished and very comfortable. Table and chairs outside - lovely on a warm day. Great views over the mature gardens and Thirlmere which you can easily walk down to on a short path at the bottom of the garden. |

Being able to sit eating breakfast with uninterrupted views overlooking Thirlmere reservior was an absolute treat! This hotel with self catering appartments is in an absolutely idyllic setting. And because the water is a reservior as opposed to a lake, no motor craft are allowed - we didn't even see a canoe - so a perfect millpool. Property is set back from the road, so no traffic noises either, and surrounded by mature, well-groomed and landscaped grounds. Service can not be faulted we liked the quality of the apartment scenic quiet location (just right for us) great bedroom and spacious lounge shortage of various items should have been rectified by now |
