Description of the holiday cottage
The Ramblings Bridgetown is located in the small village of Bridgetown, close to the beautiful Brendon Hills, on the eastern side of Exmoor National Park. The property is a cosy two-bedroomed cottage sitting in an elevated position with delightful views out across the valley to the River Exe, and is a perfect rural getaway for couples or small families. Just a couple of minutes’ walk from the Bridgetown village pub (and its famously picturesque cricket ground), The Ramblings makes an ideal and very comfortable base for those keen to explore Exmoor by foot, bicycle, or horseback.
2 bedrooms (one first floor master double and one first floor single, with pull-out trundle bed)
Spacious ground floor sitting room with wood-burning stove. (Some logs and kindling provided in cooler months, further logs can be purchased locally)
Ground floor kitchen/breakfast room fitted with cooker and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, range of cookware, crockery, cutlery, and glasses, and small table with three chairs.
First floor bathroom with shower over bath
Ground floor store room for securely storing bikes/outdoor equipment etc.
Towels and bed linen provided
Wifi, heating, and electricity included in cost
Pets welcome (max. 1, supplement of £15 per dog)
Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am
Please note property not suitable for wheelchair users or those with restricted mobility due to stepped access and terraced garden

- Brief walk from village pub serving good value home-made food and quality local real ales, and from camping/caravan site with on-site food and supplies shop open to non-campers
- Ideal base for exploring Exmoor, with a multitude of routes for exploring all over the wooded valleys and open moorlands of the national park
- Short drive away from various shopping and dining options in Winsford (3 miles away), Dulverton (5 miles away), and Wheddon Cross (with village pub, petrol station and mini-supermarket, also 5 miles away)
- Parking available outside the cottage for one vehicle
