Self Catering Reviews for The Piggery

The Piggery, Stockham Farm, Dulverton, Somerset, TA22 9JH
Description of the holiday cottage
The Piggery at Stockham Farm is a detached, recently refurbished stone barn situated in the hills close to the small Somerset market town of Dulverton in beautiful Exmoor National Park. Initially served as a traditional stone barn made that housed many animals including the pigs from whom its name was gained, the property was initially converted into living quarters over 30 years ago and then overhauled in 2018-19 while maintaining as many charming original features as possible, including oak beams and quirky elements in every room. As such, the Piggery now provides high-quality holiday accommodation that offers guests tranquility, panoramic views, on-site stabling, and an endless array of fabulous walks commencing right from the door. These include a full day’s return trek to Tarr Steps or a circular stroll across fields and through pretty woodland down into Dulverton, where the local pubs all welcome dogs and their owners alike!
