The Lodge was absolutely fantastic. We had a lovely and peaceful week here. The Lodge was as advertised with all mod cons , towels and bedding were provided. The hot tub was a god send and we had a few nights by the fire as the weather wasn?t kind to us. The owners have a great info pack with walks, places of interest and where to find the best food. Location is great to visit the Lakes , Kendal and surroundings beauty spots. There?s a steam railway about 10 mins away and its dog friendly you can even take your dog into the fantastic cafe and gift store. Ulverston is a 15 min drive away and here you can find a M&S food hall , Aldi, Booths, Greggs and other stores for food shopping and take away. Would definitely book again

What can I say!!!!

A beautiful cottage, well and truly set up to please anyone that stays here.

All the rooms are a pleasure to be in.

The kitchen and lounge area is gorgeous. The bedroom was lovely and the double bed was very comfortable. Everything you need for a comfortable chill out time is at this Cottage.

Brilliant warmth from the radiators on cold January days, a log fire for even more comfort, underfloor heating in the shower and toilet area, wow!!!!. A hot tub in the garden area which was so refreshing this morning, with the sun shining and a hard frost in the fields opposite to the cottage.

Plenty of information concerning areas of the Lake District for walks, etc, is available for you to read and digest at this Cottage.

Brilliant place to stay. Very glad that we stayed here.

Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay, it was such a lovely little cozy cottage. The hot tub was lovely & relaxing, it took a little while to warm up (but this is mentioned in the guide book and just takes a-bit of patience). The location was just stunning! So different from the busy usual life at home, it is on a road with some traffic but didn't bother us at all given the lovely surrounding views. The wine and recommendations in the guide book were welcomed. All in all lovely trip away and would 100% recommend!!

Just returned home happy & refreshed after our 2nd winter stay at the lodge.

Suites us & our little dog perfectly.

The lodge is clean & tidy & well equipped for self catering & has everything one needs.

Complementary wine, milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, fresh towels, shower gel & soaps etc- thank you.

Nice comfy bed & lounge area with smart TV etc.

A home from home.

A dip in the hot tub each evening under the moon & stars is a real treat.

Also when the fire/burner gets roaring & the lights are low, the lodge feels very cosy & atmospheric.

Best wis

The Cottage is decorated to a high standard, with a modern fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The underfloor heating was nice and hot. Nice touch to have a pint of milk waiting for us (and a bottle of red wine).

The hot tub was great and nice to sit on the decking having a coffee in the sun, although the man came to check after we had been there for two days?. The owners supplied plenty of towels, so you dont need to bring any. Tea towels, toilet role and kitchen cleaning stuff provided, which was a pleasant surprise.

The only downside is the dog friendl

No DVD player. Spa pool not serviced after previous guests until the Monday, had already used it 3 times. Freezer door broken so could not use. No Netflix or Now T.V. Owner told us to use own account. We didn't have these accounts. Cleaning cupboard in bedroom. Unpleasant smell.Continuous car or foot traffic right by windows as in a caravan park access.
