I don't want to go home from this wee flat in Taynuilt. Have absolutely loved my stay here. Fully equipped, comfy and cosy flat with a large pretty garden which has a bbq. Welcoming bottle of prosecco, tea/coffee biscuits and milk in fridge.

There is an ample shop called Graeme's Grocers straight across rd. Lovely shopkeeper who will get you what you need if he doesn't already have it. There is a beautiful walk to the pier with gorgeous views. The train station is on your doorstep if you want to leave the car. We went 2 stops for a drink in the Ben Cruacha

Ideal base for great hill walking. The Knowle Upper was very spacious, owners clearly take pride in the building, really couldn't fault it. Would highly recommend, very reasonably priced.

Cottage Review:

The apartment was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and, importantly in a March cold snap, warm! It has a lovely view of the mountains around the loch. Taynuilt is a friendly village with excellent small shops covering all the essentials, and a nice tea room which opens 4 days a week. It?s an excellent base for exploring Oban, the west coast, the central highlands and Glencoe. There is a good selection of eating places in the area, including several which welcome dogs. I have no hesitation in recommending The Knowe Upper.
