The Hayloft is a converted stone barn with exposed beams providing a two-bedroom cottage, double bedroom and superking bedroom (can be split into 2 x singles) on the first floor. There are marvellous views from this cottage over our fields to the Loxton Valley. All the cottages can also accommodate a cot.
Wood burning stove
Home Farm is part of a quiet, peaceful hamlet with a backcloth of the Mendip Hills and views across the Loxton Valley and its patchwork of fields. The cottages are surrounded by a mixture of farmland and National Trust property in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The local vantage point of Crook Peak offers views as far as the Brecon Beacons and across the Somerset levels.
All cottages are comfortable, warm and outstandingly well-equipped, with original beams. Guests have access to a hot tub in the gardens. The Bakehouse has a wood-burning stove. There is plenty of parking onsite.
The enclosed paddock, where our chickens roam free, is an ideal place for children to play. As a registered smallholding, we also keep a few sheep in the field adjoining the paddock, and children are welcome to join us when we feed them. Fresh vegetables from our garden are often available in season.
It is a great place to relax and unwind with many lovely walks in the area, and is ideally situated for Cheddar, Wells, Longleat, Glastonbury, Bristol and Bath. Sandy beaches are just 5 miles away and horse riding, golf, and dry-slope skiing are available locally.
The local village, Winscombe, provides a wide range of local shops, takeaways and banks, with several pubs that serve excellent family food within easy range.

The cottage was home from home, it was everything that we needed. It was clean, cosy and private. The owners, Chris and Sue were very friendly and exceptional hosts. There were lots of places to visit in the area for adults and children. But it was lovely to come back to the farm where it was peaceful, you could relax in the hot tub, help to feed the bottle fed lambs and wander down to see the chickens. It was a very enjoyable holiday, we were sad to leave and will definitely return.
