Cottage Review:
Omg I honestly can't speak highly enough about this amazing place. So cosy, warm, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated to a very high standard. Picture postcard surroundings and baby bunnies hopping about in the huge garden. The bed was so comfortable that we wanted to take it home with us.! Phil and Jayne are so friendly ,sweet and helpful. Made our holiday when we sat one evening with them drinking wine. We visited National Trust places, the aircraft museum, Ilminster village, the lovely Lyme Regis and Charmouth on the coast. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in, and we'll be most definitely recommending it to family and friends. Just cant wait to go back!! A real gem! |

Cottage Review:
We stayed in the barn recently for a week. Our hosts Phil and Jayne were very friendly and helpful in every way. The barn was warm and comfortable and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. There were welcome touches such as a hamper of local products, fresh local bread, milk etc. We went for a meal at the Bell at Broadway which had amazing chef cooked food, and for a curry at Rajpoot Indian restaurant in nearby Ilminster. The barn is halfway been the two coasts so there were lots of places to explore. Taunton is only about 15-20 minutes away by car and well worth a visit. We'd love to return to Rapps again in the spring and see the lovely garden coming back to life after the winter. Thank you Phil and Jayne, we loved it! |

Cottage Review:
We had a fantastic time at the Barn at Rapps cottage. Phil and Jayne were wonderful and friendly hosts, always there to offer assistance with the accommodation and advice for things to do in the local area - even small little things like offering a torch for a walk to the local pub, The Bell at Broadway - which does excellent food. They were so sweet with all the little touches around the barn... A welcome hamper, filled with local products - honey, gin and tonic marmalade, two bottles of cider from Perry?s just down the road, biscuits, fresh bakery bread, condiments and cereals. As we were their first ever guests, they also left us a bottle of Prosecco and a welcome card. There were no issues whatsoever with the facilities in the barn - the hot plate works well as a replacement counter-top, and the microwave includes a grill, which we didn?t try. The bed was so comfortable, with the softest sheets. We slept perfectly all three nights. There are plenty of things to do within a half hour drive - we did a walk from Chard through the Blackdown Hills with fantastic and varied scenery, visited Glastonbury, seeing the Tor, abbey and the town, caught the sunset at Ham Hill Country Park - with a nice little pub, and drove down to Lyme Regis beach. Needless to say we were busy all three days, but never had to rush and still had lots of time to enjoy relaxing in the barn and the front garden, which they kindly offer full use of. Our only regret is not booking for longer. We would return in a heartbeat and hope to do so in the near future. Thank you very much Phil and Jayne! Sean & Frankie |
