Cottage Review:

The cottage was lovely. Unfortunately the owner decided to do some heavy digging and compacting ground work outside the cottage for the last few days of our stay. it was very noisy and we could not sit outside. The weather for the last couple of days was poor which meant we couldn't sit anyway?

Sykes Cottages who we booked with didn't seem to have a dedicated complaint system and we had to chase them up continually. We were offered a paltry sum for the inconvenience but that didn't make up for the spoilt holiday. Be careful when you book with this company

A well equipped cottage with the biggest bed I have ever slept in. You could chase the wife round it all night without catching her. The WiFi was a bit iffy to start with but got better when the owner fixed it and from then on we got good reception. The cottage is some distance from the nearest pub or shops. Shrewsbury is worth a visit. There are walks in the adjacent fields and on the quiet lane next to the cottage. The one big problem is when I decided to walk in the fields next to the lane. A rather pompous and quite officious person told me it was his la

We chose this cottage as we were looking for a pet friendly place and also required facilities on the ground floor, it was perfect on both counts.

The downstairs bedroom has an enormous bed, with very comfortable bedding, there is also another double bed on a mezzanine level, the cottage would suit 4 people comfortably

It was only refurbished a few years ago and they have completed it very tastefully and it is a beautifully decorated comfy cottage.

It is located on the owners land, in front of their house, but you have plenty of privacy, the cottage overlo

We stayed here for a week. The cottage is very pretty, very clean, is very well equipped and is over all just done to a very high standard. It is in a very peaceful location and ideal for getting away to relax. We would definitely think about returning for another holiday.

Cottage Review:

We had a fantastic weeks stay at Strine View Cottage along with our dog. The owners where incredibly helpful and had built and equipped the cottage perfectly. We chose this place as it looked so lovely from the photos but they actually didn't do it the justice it deserves. Staying away in the autumn sometimes means a lot of time indoors so the big comfy sofas and a wood burner were just the ticket.

The mezzanine bedroom was also a great feature and the cottage felt so spacious. We had plans to visit places near Stafford, Cheshire and even North Wales and the
