Description of the holiday cottage
Strathspey holiday cottage is in the picturesque village of Strone, on the shore of Holy Loch near Dunoon, Argyll. Situated in the Cowal Peninsula and within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the cottage is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Nearby facilities, include a village Post Office & general store, public house and 9-hole golf course. Hill, forest and shore walks are just minutes from the door. Good restaurants, pubs and tourist amenities are within easy reach. A regular bus service, just 100 yards from the cottage, travels to and from Dunoon where you’ll find a good range of shops, cafes, sports & swimming facilities, cinema and supermarkets. Sorry no pets and no smokers. £350-£500 per week including electricity, heating, bedlinen and towels.Best Features
This undiscovered bit of Scotland is a perfect place to spend a holiday. The walled garden is safe for young children. Relax in the living room or sun lounge and be enchanted by the stunning views of the surrounding lochs, hills and glens. Secure storage for bikes if you like to cycle. The national park has some of the most fantastic specimen trees and flowering plants.

| Cottage Review:
A very accurately described cottage with fantastic views down the Clyde. Short of nothing in the way of equipment whether you are on your own or with a couple of children there is plenty to occupy yourselves with ,whether the weather is good or bad. Whatever you do use the local butchers if you are 'eating in' the produce is fresh and the Steak Pies to 'die for' !!! There is plenty to do both in and out the Cottage. There is hardly any traffic on the roads so make the effort to visit surrounding attractions and towns for instance Inveraray Castle and Jail both for young and old is terrific. If you are a Golfer Cowal Golf Club is terrific and the views breathtaking. Hope you enjoy your holiday at Strathspey Cottage as much as much as we did. |
