| Cottage Review:
I have been holidaying in the Lake District all my life and I can honestly say that this 14th century farmhouse was the best experience of all these. The cottage details can clearly be found on the Sykes website, but this impression given, in my opinion, is far from complete. The skill set of the owner, Yolandi, to make you feel at home is quite quite special. In terms of relaxation, sitting outside Shepherds Cottage eating breakfast, with a view of Derwentwater and watching walkers climb up Catbells before completing the walk yourself is quite unique. I could go on and on, but would be concerned that it may become impossible to book again because of its incomparability. Having said that, I have already booked it again for 2022, so will be fine for another year. |
