Modern apartment with massive windows and a terrace across its front offers extensive views of river, estuary and lakeland hills and fells in a changing light that produces spectacular sunsets. Seeing is believing. It is a quite secluded, comfortable and warm property. You can eat your breakfast or your supper enjoying the landscape and the wonderful colours in sky and water. Highly recommended. Intend to go again.

April 12th, first day after the last long an dreary lockdown you can stay away and you win the lottery. Shady Bowers is exceptional, The views are stunning and you relax within minutes. Everything is top quality in side the apartment and the layout makes it very comfortable. The location is perfect should you want a few days relaxing or what to get out and see more of the area

Nick and Leanne are brilliant hosts - you will find everything ready for your stay at Shady Bowers. Come for a rest and the chance to sit around in beautiful scenery with stunning views of the estuary and beyond. This is an excellent base for those interested in hiking as there are numerous walks and small villages in the area waiting to be discovered. Need a week off or a getaway fortnight - look no further that this well-equipped apartment. For a meal out, visit the Ship Inn just outside Arnside.

My wife and I had an excellent stay in this lovely home from home. The situation is perfect with a lovely walk down to the water front right next to it. Another advantage was the the fabulous ice cream shop at the bottom of the hill. The views from the balcony are amazing any time of year. Every comfort has been taken care of and Nick and Leanne are perfect hosts. I left my front door key behind and they posted it out to me straight away. From the welcome bottle of wine to the Espresso machine this property will not disappoint. In these sad & difficult Covid

We discovered the Arnside and Silverdale area last year and what a hidden gem the area is! We love Arnside, which is a short walk from Shady Bowers, a lovely little place with a nice selection of places to eat. Lots of great walks in the area but also close enough to visit the lakes too. We ve already booked to return next year!

A warm and friendly welcome to this wonderfully appointed and immaculately clean self-contained apartment within Leanne & Nick's house overlooking the shimmering sands of Arnside across the estuary to the Lakeland fells - the ever-shifting views far exceeded our expectations. The flat is freshly and very tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly want. A very comfortable bed, with magical views to which to wake up in the morning. After a last minute decision to go away at Easter, we were lucky enough to stumble on Shady Bowers. Genuinely an absolute gem, tucked away in Arnside, with incredible views and the utmost tranquility! Everything about our stay completely exceeded our expectations.
