Cottage Review:
We stayed for a week at Seldom Seen and what a lovely time we had. The cottage is located on the path to Sheffield Pike and opposite The Brown Hills in the Glencoyne Valley. The track to the cottage is a little rough but can easily be navigated in a family car with a little care. The village of Glenridding is a mile away. The property is well equipped to self-cater (sharp knives for a change) and downstairs is open plan. Bedroom nice and snug with a view to Gowbarrow Fell whilst enjoying your morning cuppa. Small garden with a view down to Ullswater. Very q |

Cottage Review:
Cottage when hiked all our belongings up the half mile from path as we could not take our car up the 1ft rut filled track was ok , shower extremely temperamental, stairs very very steep more like a ladder really. we were very limited to what we took up and when we had to get back to cottage at night's as it was pitch black. We are still waiting to hear back from Sykes cottages who appeared helpful on the first day and we are home now, disappointed with place but did enjoy the lakes |
