Cottage Review:

The cottage is in a lovely location with wide ranging views and surrounded by fields.

It is completely on its own, surrounded by fields with the nearest buildings around 400M away. It is very compact for 2 adults and has all of the appliances you need. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the decor is bright & cheery. The bed is comfy and the roll top bath is deep and luxurious. The nearest village shop is about 3 miles away in Longnor. and has limited choice. I would advise doing a big shop before you arrive which should include logs for the woodburner if required. There is walking and cycling from the door and the Tissington,Manifold & High Peak trails are a 20 minute drive. Buxton and Leek are around 10 miles away and are worth a visit.

The cottage has such a lovely atmosphere that just we had to force ourselves to go out and not to just sit outside all day and watch the world go by . One highlight was watching hares playing in the adjacent field most days. We would love to return sometime.

Cottage Review:

The cottage was very well appointed, spotlessly clean and so comfortable and inviting. It?s perfect for a relaxing break and very dog friendly. Great communication with the owner too. Looking forward to our next visit.

Cottage Review:

Absolutely gorgeous little house. The views are just fabulous with the patio backing onto fields of wild flowers and hills rolling away into the distance. The middle of nowhere yet within 20 minutes drive of Buxton, Bakewell and Leek. The house itself feels like home the moment you walk in. It was so warm and cosy when the evenings were cold and the bed very comfortable. Lovely bath to soak in after a day's hard walking. We stayed for two weeks and wished we had booked another two. One of the best places we have stayed in the UK.

Cottage Review:

This is a perfect little hideaway close to the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border. The owners have put a lot of thought into furnishing the cottage:

- big comfortable bed

- huge bathtub and rainfall shower head

- TV upstairs and downstairs

- a very toasty log burner (which made the cottage so warm in November we had to crack the window...)

- selection of DVDs and games

There is an enclosed patio with table and chairs outside, overlooking farmland all the way to the horizon. Gorgeous. A beautiful Peak District pick!
