| Cottage Review:
The place was clean, tidy and comfortable. Everything was there and in good order, with interesting décor, comfortable furnishings and a nice light kitchen, so you could just enjoy the place and its setting and use it as a base for wider travels across Cumbria and the Lakes - or even into Northumberland. The garden made an excellent spot for an outdoor meal, or just to sit and relax. The owners, Diane and Simon are friendly, easy-going people, who were happy to help in any way. The location is in a quiet totally rural setting adjacent to the working farm, but within a short drive of Kirkby Stephen?s shops, pubs and restaurants. It was good to see their small herd of Herefords in the adjoining paddock and to feel part of the farming community. |
