Cottage Review:
When we arrived our Sat Nav had dropped us off on the main road so had a bit of trouble finding it, the sign of Priory View wasn?t showing either when we did arrive as it was covered with over- hanging bushes. Anyway finally found it and then the entrance code number wouldn?t work! The two contact phone numbers we rang wouldn?t answer so luckily we rang Sykes Cottages who got the owner to come round. Not good in the pouring rain (to get a signal) although we do understand these things happen we were pretty miserable lol. Anyway after the dodgy start we found the property to be just wonderful, was worth the wait to get in. Beautiful place, very, very tasteful with wonderful views. It is more or less nestled on a country estate, a few years ago there used to be a racehorse trainer practically next door so you can imagine the landscape which is still maintained as it was then. The property itself has everything you need, just drop your cases and away you go. My grandson loved it (ideal to play hide and seek in he said). There is a lovely walk down to the beach through the woods, you can also visit Conishead Priory on the way, a visit to this temple is highly recommended. They even allow dogs in the café, or you could just sit outside in the lovely gardens with a coffee. Having our grandson with us (6) we didn?t visit many of the lovely surrounding towns we visited places such as Ford Park (worth a visit to the top of the monument!) we visited South Lakes zoo, Lakeland Maize Farm, Dalton Leisure centre for the swimming, places like that. All recommended. A visit to The Laurel & Hardy Museum in Ulverston wonderful, grandson loved their films found them hilarious (ideal if the weather not the best too). All in all we had a lovely stay, the beautiful sunrises from the main bedroom windows will stay with us for a very long time. Perfect property. |

Cottage Review:
Priory View is a little corner of wonderful nestling on the outskirts of Ulverston. The cottage itself is beautifully presented, warm, clean, well stocked and affords great views from every window. The garden is secure and there is off road parking. Its location also acts as a marvellous base for exploring the area. Whilst the owners left us to our own devices during our stay, they were very accommodating when we needed something. A short walk along a quiet lane leads to the Old Priory, now a Buddist Temple for world peace where visitors can take a look ar |

Beautiful cottage - everything you could possibly need is supplied & more..... Perfect for family with two large dogs, enclosed garden, dog towels etc provided. 3 large bedrooms, wish we could wake up to the view everyday!! Fabulous walks literally on doorstep, thru woods onto beach. Local area great to explore, more wonderful walks, you must walk upto Hoad monument - view is amazing!! Take the train to Windermere and hop on/off boats for the day with the all day ticket. Dogs welcome everywhere so no need to worry about that. Discover waterfalls at Ambl |

Cottage Review:
This cottage is beautiful and one of the best I have stayed in without a doubt! Immaculate, clean and so well equipped. It has everything you need-even dog towels! we stayed here with our dogs and family and it is wonderful for walks - five minutes to the beach. So peaceful-you can get away from it all and have quality family time. It is spacious and the beds are so comfy. Views are amazing. I was very pleased that it is very well enclosed for dogs so you can relax without fear of them getting out. Would recommend a walk to the old farmers pub for a meal. An |
