Description of the self catering property
Quality accommodation in a 300 year old farmhouse bursting with charm and character within the Snowdonia National Park. The farmhouse retains many original features and is in it's own large private grounds close to the edge of Lake Bala. Only 10 minutes walk into the town of Bala with its variety of quaint local shops, cosy pubs and award winning restaurants. The watersport centre, sailing club and leisure centre are also within 15 minutes walk.Best Features
The farmhouse has a wealth of character features including exposed beams,wood burning stoves, original slate floor and inglenook fireplace, original "secret" back staircase, and its very own motte and bailey castle "Castell Gronw" within its grounds. There are fabulous views over Lake Bala from the top of the castle, perfect for summer barbeques or picnics. The farnhouse is great for children with many games, DVDs and books provided for the use of guests and an excellent variety of local attractions and activities nearby.
There is easy access to fantastic walks and scenery from the doorstep.
