Description of the holiday cottage
On the first floor, the open-plan living area is immersed in the natural light that streams through the skylights and Juliet balcony; high ceilings and original beams retain the character of the cottage. The modern kitchen is fitted with all the essentials needed including an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A wooden dining table with ample seating for guests is opposite the kitchen and is the perfect place to enjoy a local takeaway or delicious home-cooked meal. The sitting area comprises two leather sofas, a log burner and a TV. On the ground floor, there is a bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, a twin room and a double room with an ensuite. Both bedrooms are beautifully furnished and offer a fantastic rest before a busy day exploring the countryside. This cottage welcomes well-behaved dogs and is set in the perfect location for walks nearby and in the Lake District.Best Features

| Cottage Review: This was our first time using Eden Retreats and we were not disappointed. We stayed at Oldwell Cottage, Cumbria. We were very impressed with Eden Retreats and the standard of the cottage and the owners. The cottage was perfect - very clean and had everything you would need. The welcome gifts were a nice touch as was the home baking. We will definitely use the company again. | |||||

| Cottage Review: Easy and user friendly webpage to book with. We initially booked a property and paid in full, however a week before we were due to go the owner contacted us direct to say that could not accommodate our dates, which put us in a real panic not knowing what we would be able to do. However after contacting Eden retreats direct and we had call back from Josh [. . . ], you put our minds at ease and gave the option of a refund or in finding us an alternative accommodation. We took the option of a alternative place/accommodation, which ended up being at a lower price than what we had paid for originally (the refund was paid back to us, promptly). We have no negative feedback on where we have just had a lovely week of relaxing, chilling and exploring. Amazing accommodation, perfect location, with loads of lovely extras upon our arrival. We stayed at Old Well Cottage, Blencarn, Cumbria, we highly recommend this place, the owners were very welcoming, lovely family run place. Thank You Eden for your recommendation, we would highly recommend using Eden to our family and friends. | |||||
