Description of the cottage holiday
Built in 1850 by the Coniston Copper Company, this cottage provided accommodation to workers from Copper Mine Valley. Miner’s Cottage is rustic and full of charm, and is set in one of the most beautiful spots in Coniston Village. At the foot of the Old Man of Coniston, this cottage has superb and unspoilt views of Coniston Water, Grizedale Forest and Yewdale, and is the perfect setting for a relaxing break for couples or families, yet only a few minutes walk from all the amenities that Coniston has to offer.Best Features
Miner's Cottage has recently undergone substantial renovation, but has been lovingly restored to show many original features. Internally, the cottage is spacious and presented to a very high standard, ensuring that guests have a thoroughly enjoyable stay all year round. A cool and charming cottage in Summer, and warm and cosy in Winter with a log burning stove.
The kitchen has all the facilities you would find at home, with a vey spacious dining area. A wet room for coats and boots is a handy addition, and a ground floor WC & fitted sink have been installed
