Description of the self catering
Meadowcroft lies in the famous and popular village of Near Sawrey, home of author Beatrix Potter. Fans will be able to visit her house, Hill Top, and will see many of the buildings that featured in her books. Of these includes the Towerbank Arms, which is as popular for its literary connections as it is its cellar and pub grub, and of which a close and full inspection is a must The villages of Far and Near Sawrey lie west of Lake Windermere, the houses strung along the lane, just above the head of Esthwaite Water.Sleeps: from 0 to 8

| Cottage Review:
We went there for a family weekend and had a great time. The house is really well equipped for cooking, but is only 50 yards to the Tower Bank Arms. We visited Hawkshead, Grizedale Forest, and Claife Heights. Will bring the bikes next time as there is great walking and cycling near here. Wifi useful for children.
