| Cottage Review:
We booked Marsh Villa on the 2 January through Sykes, for our friends who are coming up to visit in August. We arrived at our own holiday lodge last weekend and yesterday parked up in Silloth so that we could walk to the cottage and have a look at it. It is way out of Silloth and just out of Skinburness. The access 'road' off the main road is in fact an 'unadopted' dirt track with giant potholes all the way along. The sea view pictured on the website cannot be seen from the cottage at all and the grounds very scruffy. There was a very dilapidated wooden gate that was an eyesore and the worst issue was the huge industrial metal shed that overlooked the back yard. We were so horrified by everything that we rushed back to our lodge and cancelled it (losing £364 deposit). We have booked something else with Hoseasons. |
