Description of the holiday cottage

Lower Goosemoor Cottage is an idyllic detached hideaway within Exmoor National Park that sleeps up to four guests. Situated in a private valley at the end of a driveway, it would be difficult to find a property to rival the peace and tranquility offered by this location. As a former pair of miner's cottages that have been modernised with flair and sensitivity, Lower Goosemore has surprisingly large and light rooms and a warm and welcoming ambience. It has been carefully equipped, and the quality of the renovation is complemented perfectly by the stunning rural setting and enchanting grounds. This really is a site to leave guests awestruck, and a perfect place for families and small groups looking to get away from it all and relax.

• 2 bedrooms (one first floor king-sized double with wardrobe, dressing table,TV/DVD player, lovely view to nearby lake, and plenty of room to set up a travel cot (not provided) if required, and one first floor double with views over cottage garden to the front of the property)

• Ground floor living room with large comfortable sofa, two armchairs, TV/DVD player, original beams, and wood-burning stove with large basket of logs provided

• Large ground floor kitchen-dining room well equipped with traditional cream Aga cooker, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, and large dining table

• First floor family bathroom with bath and power shower over, hand basin, and WC

• Tumble dryer in outside store, close to front door

• Towels, bed linen, and extensive welcome pack provided

• Satellite broadband wifi, heating, and electricity included in cost

• Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am

• Please note that this property is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with restricted mobility due to steep staircase (with handrail), and young children should be supervised due to staircase and garden stream
