Description of the self catering
… in Timberscombe, an 18th cent. red stone cottage in a row looking over the village green to wooded hills stretching to Exmoor. In typical 18th cent. fashion, its large, private, enclosed, lawned garden (table/chairs, bench, swing) is accessed from a short communal cobbled path along the back of the cottages. The cottage has been lovingly restored, making it a charming, comfortable home. Door from the lane into living/dining room with big inglenook fireplace (woodburner) and TV/DVD. Fitted kitchen (dishwasher, small washing machine, microwave, small freezer) with door to path to the garden. Downstairs shower-room (suite). From the living room (door), original steep spiral stairs (rope rail) up to two bright double bedrooms. A delightfully cosy cottage close to a good food pub and well situated for the West Somerset Steam Railway and exploring Exmoor.Sleeps: 4
