Description of the holiday cottage
Honeysuckle Cottage is an eco-friendly 17th century cottage a few minutes outside Hawkshead. It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open plan dining lounge area and a separate snug. The conservatory at the rear, looks out onto the secluded rear garden. The cottage is able to sleep upto 8 people and is dog friendly. There is the local pub, 100 metres away and numerous walks in the Grizedale Forest from the doorstep. Finally there is off-road parking for 2 or more cars and the cottage has many conveniences to make you feel welcome during your stay.
Best Features
The lounge/dining room is cosy with beamed ceiling, slate floor, stone fireplace and inset wood burner. There are four bedrooms: a king, double, twin and finally bunk bedroom.The two bathrooms have a shower and one with a bath. The snug provides a second lounge for those wishing to watch something different on a television. The heating is underfloor and with the excellent insulation and wood stove, the cottage feels cosy. For those interested, the heating and hot water is provided by an air source heat pump and has been all that has been required to make the cottage comfortable for over 16 years. Our guests and their dogs love the cottage and the setting in the village of Satterthwaite.
