If you are looking for a true retreat, far from crowds, with stunning views and fell walks, then High Kiln Bank, overlooking the Duddon Valley may well be the choice for you. The Duddon Valley lies west of the Coniston Mountain range, one of the least changed landscapes in Lakeland. From the Langdales the river runs the full length of the valley, down to the Duddon Sands, its course flanked by impressive fell. Harter, Dunnerdale and Ulpha offer some challenging high level treks along with many low level paths and trails over moorland, through woodland and by the River banks. High Kiln Bank is approximately two miles from the village of Seathwaite and is a traditional cottage the blends in well with the Lake District style. High Kiln Bank has 3 bedrooms including a family room that sleeps three people as well as a further double and a twin. This old and comfortable cottage has a big lounge with a woodburner and flat screen tv, with exposed beams and plenty of space. The farmhouse country kitchen has slate flagstone floors and exposed stonework and beams, a real character cottage that works perfectly with the Duddon Valley area .Sleeps: from 0 to 6
