Description of the cottage holiday

Forge Cottage is situated in the idyllic village of Wootton Courtenay, one of the most desirable locations in Exmoor National Park due to the warm micro-climate and sheltered position at the foot of Dunkery Hill, with its famous beacon on top providing stunning panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding countryside.

A barn conversion that offers comfortable and spacious holiday accommodation for 2 or 3 guests, Forge Cottage is perfectly situated for those keen to explore Exmoor. With numerous stunning walks over rolling hills with open heather moorland and sweeping valleys covered in ancient oak forests, and access to paths and rights of way directly from the doorstep, walkers, cyclists, and horse riders alike will relish the myriad opportunities to stay busy. Regardless of how actively guests prefer to experience it, they will certainly find plenty to enjoy in the abundant local wildlife—the herds of wild red deer, the Exmoor ponies, and the buzzards soaring majestically overhead.

• Electricity and adjustable oil-fired heating included in cost

• Bed linen, duvets, blankets, and towels provided. (Please bring own beach towels for day trips)
