Description of the holiday cottage
Wheddon Cross is a village in the Parish of Cutcombe in the heart of Exmoor and Dunkery Cottage is one of six holiday cottages converted from farm buildings and sleeps 4 guests in two bedrooms. The sitting room has a stone fireplace with an electric log burner, TV with freeview and a DVD player. The kitchen is fully stocked with a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave. Car parking is located alongside the cottage and all guests have access to two acres of gardens to enjoy. There is a lawn with picnic tables, giant BBQ and a games room with table tennis, table football and a small pool table.
Wheddon Cross village is within walking distance across the fields where you will find a welcoming pub and shop. Dunkery Beacon is located approximately three miles from Wheddon Cross village, there are fantastic panoramic views from Dunkery where you can see moorland to the west and the Bristol Channel/Wales to the North. Brendon Hills can be observed to the east and the Quarme Valley to the South. There are many great walks to enjoy along the footpaths and bridleways, including the famous Coleridge Way which passes through.
