| Cottage Review:
This little treasure in the middle of Windermere is an absolute find that would suit a small-medium family or 3 couple of friends. On first glance, it looks modern but built with original flint work, with all outside views clean and very inviting. But when you open up the front doors?.WOW?.it?s very difficult to not go exploring, and calling dibs on the bedrooms (the downstairs master bedroom was the one we chose, and very happy with it we were). All 3 bedrooms are double, with the 3rd having the extra bunk bed?all en-suite?.and to very high spec!! The lounge area is warming and comfortable, with enough couch space for everyone, and the balcony doors leading to the upstairs terrace a real space opener. All mod cons you could think of?.smart TV, superb sound bar, WiFi & ample amounts of lighting to set almost any atmospheres for your TV viewings. The most awe inspiring room we spent most of our time in was the kitchen area. What a space!!! Huge dining table with very comfortable seats, made easy host for our game nights most evenings?the kitchen is well fitted out with all the amenities you could wish for. Even the add on access to a boot room and muddy paws area (accessed from the outside via garage side door). Each room has a TV, and was set up to a rustic, yet high standard. The house is about 8 minutes walk uphill to Windermere, and about 14 minutes walk downhill to Bowness?both of which are beautiful little towns with Bowness providing access to the lake and other parts of the district. It?s a great location, a great venue and great hosts?would definitely book again?thanks for again for making your house available!!! |
