Description of the self catering property

Cherry Cottage is a two bedroom holiday cottage in Bryngwenith near Newcastle Emlyn, Ceredigion, sleeping up to four guests. Set in peaceful West Wales countryside, it is a practical choice for couples, friends or dog owners looking for a self catering break with a private hot tub, rural surroundings and access to Cardigan Bay days out.

The cottage is a converted former farm building with an open plan living space that includes the kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The sitting area has an electric fire, giving guests a cosy place to relax after walks, beach trips or time exploring the nearby market towns. Upstairs, there is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a compact shower room.

Useful features include Smart TV, WiFi, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, oil central heating, bed linen and towels. Guests also have access to a communal laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, drying cupboard and freezer drawer. Allocated off road parking is available for one car, with one visitor space, and secure bike storage can be requested.

The outside space is one of the main reasons to consider Cherry Cottage. There is a small enclosed patio garden with a hot tub, giving guests somewhere private to unwind during the stay. New for 2025, guests can also use woodland walks on site, with enclosed woodland where dogs may be able to enjoy more freedom if they are safe off lead. Guests should still take care because woodland areas can include natural hazards such as roots, dips, stumps and fallen branches.

The location is useful for exploring both countryside and coast. Newcastle Emlyn is approximately 3.5 miles away for shops, pubs, cafés, restaurants, the River Teifi and castle ruins. Cardigan, Cenarth Falls, Llandysul, Penbryn Beach, Llangrannog, Tresaith, Cwmtydu, New Quay and Aberaeron are all useful places to know about during a stay, giving guests a mix of beaches, woodland, market towns, river scenery and wildlife watching.

Two well behaved, fully house trained dogs are welcome, but puppies under 1 year are not accepted. Children under 12 are not accepted, and smoking is not permitted. A good housekeeping bond may apply. Cottage Review:   Such a little gem of a place with a wonderful separate hot tub. The cottage is fabulously clean and so well stocked with everything you need. The place is a little out in the sticks but I loved that.....and the coast was only 15 mins away. The owners were so lovely and couldn't do enough for you. If you want a great base to explore from or a country hideaway this is perfect. Put it this way I had stayed a fortnight and asked to stay a further night!

Cottage Review:   Superb cottage containing everything you need for a holiday. The welcome pack lasted us most of the week but the wine was welcome when we arrived here! Thoughtful extras like the robes which are perfect for slipping on when going to the hot tub are very welcome. The heating and hot water work really well and we were never cold in the evenings even with the radiators turned down low. The hot tub was nice although we didn?t use it much simply because we were too tired after a days exploring. There are so many places to visit but we particularly liked the plet

Cottage Review:   What a great holiday we had in Cherry Cottage. Lesley and Les were extremely friendly and welcoming, the basket of goods was a lovely touch on arrival. The cottage was bright, well-equipped and spacious. The location is ideal - within 20 minutes of the coast. What can I say about the hot-tub?! A luxury to relax in at the end of the day. We will recommend this place to our friends and family and we hope to be back soon.
