Cottage Review:

We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday and it was just the perfect spot. A lovely homely feel about the cottage and everything you could possibly need was catered for. Great location, especially as we visited L'Enclume in nearby Cartmel as part of our stay. Fantastic dog walks, and so much information provided by the owners that you wouldn't even need to have done any research beforehand. We found nearby Humphrey Head when out exploring, where at low tide the dogs ran around for ages enjoying a dip in the water. We didn't really want to leave so I'm sure we'll find a reason to return.

excellent cottage, very nicely presented and decorated to a high standard. Being there for New Year it was lovely to find it so nicely decorated with Christmas decorations.Great ameneties, even an ironing bord. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Two nice local pubs just round the corner, serving good hot food so no need to cook if you didn\'t want to. Cartmel village just 2 miles awy so very handy for the Races.

All in all a brilliant stay and will be back. [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

We just had a wonderful long weekend in another of Simon's cottages. (Last time Grange Cottage) Bridgelands was beautiful, it had everything you could possibly want, real quality furnishings, bed linen, roaring log fires - all fantastic. He certainly knows how to make a place feel wonderfully welcoming. Cark is also a lovely little place, 2 pubs and a train station :-)

Spent a week in Bridgelands cottage in Cartmel in Cark. Absolutely ideal for our family. Including our Cocker Spaniel and German Shepherd. Cottage was great, excellent facilities a real home from home everything you needed was there I would not have taken half of what I did, if I had known. It was all lovely and clean enclosed garden for the dogs. We had lovely days out to Lake Coniston on the lake steamer, the Haverthwaite Railway, ferry across Lake Windermere up to Grasmere we went everywhere. The dogs were accepted on all transport, in the pubs, eating places a real eye opener. Cartmel is a beautiful village, you must sample their famous sticky toffee pudding, although we must say the Rose and Crown up the road made their own home made variety, bought half a dozen home. Meals in two local pubs were great everyone so friendly. Fish and chips lovely 2 mins up the road. Had forgotten how beautiful this country really is, as we normally go abroad Loved being in the South Lakes area the cottage has an excellent position near to everything but away from the crowds. A big thank you to the owner Simon for all the very helpful info he provides and also to his team that keep the cottage beautifully clean.

Really loved staying at Bridge land Cottage. Felt at home as soon as we landed.Cosy sitting room with an open fire to snuggle up in when the lakes weather doesn't disappoint.Brilliant kitchen to hang around - it was great to be able to cook, chat and have a drink in the evenings. The place had a true cottage feel to it. Great facilities, spotless, parking, brilliant location with everything that you would need close enough but there area still had a country vibe about it. I haven't stopped telling people how much of a wonderful time we had in Cark and staying at Bridgeland cottage [Added at Editor's discretion since it appears to be a helpful review and the reviewer has been authenticated]

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break at Bridgelands. The cottage is warm and cosy, and well-equipped. This is a beautiful and relatively untouristy part of Cumbria. Simon was very friendly and helpful, and we hope to return soon. Michael and Julie Gill, Cheshire.

Cottage Review:

This is a fantastic cottage with a mixture of 'old' and 'new' in all the right places. You enter via a cobbled area into an enclosed garden which is great if you bring the family dog. Through the door and you are into a very large kitchen/dining area which has everything you need for your stay, including your welcoming tray and milk in the fridge. There is a seperate lounge looking onto the enclosed garden and tables and chairs to sit outside.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms over 2 floors and a clean and modern bathroom. There is plenty of hanging spaces and interesting features and furniture.

We would definitely stay again and the owner is a pleasure to dealt with.
