| Cottage Review:
We stayed for a week to do some walking in the area. The weather was pretty poor but the house was well equipped and comfortable. It was great to have such a cosy place to warm up and dry out! The covered area to the rear was especially useful for cleaning our boots and the owner helpfully supplied a bucket. We ate out in the evenings (after all it is a holiday) but there are few places to do so on foot. The Turton Arms and the Ashiana are in the village centre and both are good, the other pubs don't do food. The Royal Oak is good but it's a ten minute walk |
