Aurora View, 25, Culbin Sands Apartments, Findhorn, Forres, Moray, IV36 3QJ

Description of the holiday cottage

Aurora View is a two bedroom holiday apartment in Findhorn, Moray, sleeping up to four guests. Set close to the beach with views across the Moray Firth, it is a practical choice for couples, friends or a small family looking for a self catering stay on Scotland’s north east coast.

The apartment is on the first floor and has a king size bedroom with en suite shower room, plus a twin bedroom and a separate bathroom with bath and walk in shower. The open plan living space includes a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, giving guests one bright and spacious place to cook, eat and relax while enjoying the coastal views.

Practical features include WiFi, TV, electric heating, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, microwave, bed linen, towels and designated off road parking for one car. Guests also have access to a communal garden with lawn and seating, giving extra outdoor space during the stay.

The views are one of the main reasons to consider Aurora View. From the apartment, guests can look across the dunes, Findhorn Bay and the Moray Firth, with opportunities to watch for wildlife such as seabirds, seals and dolphins. In clear conditions, this part of Scotland can also offer a chance of seeing the Northern Lights, although this can never be guaranteed.

Findhorn is well placed for a relaxed coastal break. The beach is approximately 0.3 miles away, while the village has pubs, cafés, a bakery, a local shop, harbour walks and access to watersports around Findhorn Marina. Guests can also visit the Findhorn Heritage Centre, the Findhorn Foundation Ecovillage, Kinloss Abbey, Forres, Elgin, Lossiemouth, Nairn, Culloden Battlefield and the wider Moray coast.

Aurora View does not accept pets and smoking is not permitted. There is a good housekeeping bond, and the apartment is reached by stairs, so guests should check the latest access details before booking. Before arranging a stay, it is also worth checking the latest prices, availability, parking details, licence information, review scores and booking terms through the cottage provider, as these can change throughout the year.

Tell Others About the Views from Aurora View

A review of Aurora View can be especially useful because the location, sea views, stairs and village setting all shape the stay. If you have stayed here, share what you thought of the apartment, bedrooms, bathrooms, cleanliness, comfort, kitchen facilities, WiFi, parking and views across the Moray Firth. It is also helpful to mention the walk to Findhorn Beach, nearby pubs and cafés, wildlife watching, local day trips and whether the apartment worked well for a couple, friends or family planning a coastal break in Moray.

Cottage Review:

This was the second visit for me and the third for my wife. Great appartment with special views and deer in the grounds outside. Findhorn is right on the beach with the chance to see Dolphins Seals etc. Long beach for good walking.

The appartment is well appointed and is situated on the second floor which could prove difficult for someone with special needs.

In the evening cruise ships can be seen out in the sea not too far from the beach. Daylight is very long and there is a chance to see the northern lights. We came home today to find that there was a good chance of seeing them in Forres tonight!

This flat exceeded all our expectations! Fabulous views from warm, light and airy accommodation. Immaculately clean and well presented. We were very happy to return to the flat from days out walking this beautiful coastal area.
