Easily accessible and delightful cottage with bedroom upstairs overlooking green fields with wild deer. Easy 100 yd walk down to the road where Brockhole house and gardens must be visited. Bus stop also if you wish to leave your car. Kitchen very modern and everything you need if you eat in though very many eating places in surrounding villages. Just spent a week in this cosy well equipped cottage .We really enjoyed our time there from seeing deer grazing in the adjoining fields to garden birds feeding outside our lounge window ...unfortunately we had a problem with the en suite wet room which became very wet indeed leaking through to the bedroom and even dripping onto the floor below via the lounge ceiling..a lovely old cottage but old drains unable to cope with modern wet rooms it looks as if this has been an on going problem for some time and it needs to be rectified ..however it didn?t ruin our

We had a wonderful week with good weather and really enjoyed our stay. The parking is gated and I smiled when I saw the notice "please close the gate as the deer eat gardens" but at dusk that night I looked out of the back window and saw the deer on the hill, I am not sure if I was watching them or they were watching me. The cottage is comfortable well situated and had everything we needed. A very lovely holiday and we would definitely return.

The cottage was exactly as described and the location was perfect for both Ambleside and Windermere. There were some lovely walks out from the cottage and a bus stop at the end of the land which meant that it wasn't necessary to take our car out after we had arrived.

The cottage was well equipped and warm. Luckily we also had the benefit of the sunshine for our weekend stay, despite a bit of snow still falling on the hills.
